New Hampshire Mushroom School
Mission
The New Hampshire Mushroom School is a 3-day experiential learning workshop that aims to provide a foundation to novice mushroom growers. Our mission is to guide the students through the conceptual stage of their mushroom business.
This class will help students transform from mushroom hobbyists to knowledgable farmers. We aim to instill a solid base understanding of starting and running an agricultural business. SImilarly, we aim to provide the thinking skills and resources needed to continually grow their business once the class has concluded.
Overview
The outlined syllabus is the general schedule for the ten day course. Topics with extensive information have been allotted extra time. Five integral topics will be covered over the business week: Agritourism, Business Plans, Production Flow and Marketing. The weekends will be geared towards taking part in various agritourism activities to observe sales and customer connections.

Hands-on and experience driven learning is the most effective way to become familiar with the idea of mushroom farming. Each day will be composed of both classroom and designated jobsite time. Students will learn about topics before and during observation and while taking part in farm tasks.
